Dear Robla Community,
It is hard to believe that the holiday season is already upon us! As we approach our November break and express gratitude during this Thanksgiving season, I want to take a moment to reflect on the deep appreciation I feel for being part of a community that wholeheartedly supports our students, staff, and schools. Your collaboration and assistance in emphasizing the importance of attendance contribute significantly to our ability to provide students with remarkable learning experiences. Furthermore, your backing plays a crucial role in helping your children forge strong connections with their peers and teachers, laying a sturdy foundation for their future academic and professional success. I am truly thankful for your partnership and support in various district and school events, such as Parent Empowerment Dinners, Harvest Festivals, movie nights, book fairs, and many more. Your involvement is highly valued and makes a meaningful difference.
Congratulations again to Taylor Elementary as our first Attendance Challenge Winner. Our next Attendance Challenge will begin Monday, November 27th, the day we return from Thanksgiving break. I understand that in this season, children often experience sniffles, coughs, and occasionally other minor illnesses. It can be challenging to determine whether to send your child to school. To alleviate this uncertainty, our Health Services team has created the Robla School District's Health Guidance for attending school, which you can find at: https://bit.ly/RoblaHealthGuidance.
Finally, I would like to share an update with the Robla community about my vision as Robla’s Superintendent, a concept which I call “Blossoms of Greatness.” This vision revolves around my belief in unlocking exceptional potential within the Robla community. I encourage you to view this video for more insight into "Blossoms of Greatness": https://youtu.be/zHM7-ClUQ4M. In the coming months, I'll be sharing additional details and offering opportunities for staff and parent engagement.
I wish each and every one of you a wonderful Thanksgiving, and we will see you back at school on Monday, November 27th.
Warm Regards,
Eileen Aguba Chen
